Continue ShoppingThere are so many things to look forward to this week!
This last week has felt like a whirlwind, but a really good one. First, Sydney and I were so fortunate to have checked off a really big bucket list item. We got to see Stevie Nicks live, and frankly, I cannot express the life altering experience doing that was. (Okay so that wasn't so much about interesting knitting stuff, but it was a really big deal to the humans behind the yarn, so we thought we would share)
Friday we also hit the road, and made our way to the Muskoka Yarn and Fiber Festival. We set up our booth, and I can't not explain what a true delight the whole event was, as a vendor, sometimes festivals can be hard (behind the scenes stuff, etc.) but the hosts, Annie and Emma were simply amazing. We are so fortunate to have met them, and the other vendors we hadn't met yet. There was also camping, which for us really up's the perks to this festival. Then Saturday we were so grateful to see so many familiar faces from near and far. Hugs abound, and reconnecting with friends filled my soul with gratitude. We met many new friends, and had so much fun. If you ever get the chance to attend this festival, you wouldn't be disappointed.
Check out this amazing poster Syd made for the festival, each festival, she creates these beautiful pieces of art, such an amazingly talented artist.
This week, there is some really fun things about to happen.
Our Tangled Poets full sized skeins are back! Almost 20 new song colours, 10 semi solids/tonals, and some fun surprises, including some neons, and gradients. They will all be live on the website tonight. There is limited supply, so snag em while you can. We will continue to replenish colours, but the songs will change.
We are also launching the Kollage Square Needle Collection on our website this week. These needles are a game changer for us. Not only do they up your binge knitting time, due to the shape and functionality. But they are the only needles made here in Canada. The only ones! We are so glad to have partnered with a company, who not only thinks making things in Canada is important, but their story is amazing. The majority of their employees have some sort of barrier to employment, which I think is amazing. They also guarantee their product for life.
Our initial offerings of Kollage Square Needles include the 9 inch, 16 inch, 24 inch, and 32 inch fixed circular, crochet hooks, and the interchangeable sets. We will continue to grow our offerings of there great products, but we thought that was the perfect place to start.
We are also going to be publishing a new pattern for the Pickle Jar this upcoming weekend (it will be a free pattern on Ravelry) so keep an eye out for that on our socials. It's a great summer knit, simple stitches, simple repeat, and a really great scarf/wrap piece, to throw on with your favourite jeans and tee when evenings get a bit cool, and will brighten your days in the middle of February :)
We can't wait for you to see all the new colours. Stay cool friends, happy crafting (hopefully in aircon if you into that).
With much love and gratitude
