To create Stride, the mill takes Wool and spins a wide and open tops fiber. (Looks like connected cotton balls.) The fiber is then dyed with an elongated color stamp. This fiber is now run through rollers that pull the yarn (like making taffy) and twist it with an acrylic base fiber that secures the yarn. In the process of going through the rollers, the pulling of the fiber makes the dye stamp even longer so every hank is just a bit different. Very easy to knit, crochet and weave with this yarn.
