Update From Prince Edward Island

Hello from the Beautiful Prince Edward Island,

I wanted to take a moment and catch everyone up on what’s happening.  Sydney and I left Ontario on Monday to participate in the PEI Fibre Festival.  We arrived safe and sound late Tuesday Evening.  This was our last festival of the season, and as of this morning it was cancelled due to safety concerns, as we await the arrival of Hurricane Fiona.

We appreciate so much the organizers keeping us updated and informed along the way.

We’ve never been through a hurricane before and frankly I can admit I’m nervous, but we’ve made all the safety precautions we can, as it’s safest to ride the storm out here, and leave the island on Sunday.  (Fingers crossed).  We hope to be back in Ontario Tuesday, to our loved ones, and the safety of the familiar.

If we are unable to answer phone calls, emails or other messages, please bare with us, we do not know how long we will have internet or hydro.  (And for obvious reasons, we will be reserving our phones for emergency use)

With all of that said, we know that many islanders, and travellers from the area were to attend the festival, we hope you stay safe.  To our fellow vendors, please stay safe as well, and hopefully we can all turn this unfortunate situation into a good news story.

In preparation for the festival, we created a unique and beautiful collection of yarns never seen before, and colour ways we are incredibly proud of, with a unique twist.  We will be working hard this afternoon to bring you the best festival experience online and social media.  We will announce on our socials as soon as the website is up and ready, and for those who aren’t on social media, we will send out an updated blog post.

With much love and gratitude

Heather
